No fewer than forty-four members of the academic staff were recently appointed into various positions in the College. The appointments which include Deans, Vice-Dean, Directors and Heads of Departments cut across all the five schools in the institution.
The schools are Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Vocational and Technical Education as well as Languages and Science.
Similarly, the appointments were also made in several Departments which include Computer Science, Chemistry, Business Education, Educational Foundation and Counseling. Others are Physical and Health Education, Home Economics, Primary Education Studies, Geography, Physics as well as Social Studies, Fine and Applied Arts and Biology.
Also affected by the appointment are Department of Continuing/Adult & Non-Formal Education, Administration and Planning, French, Special Education and Curriculum Studies and Music.
The appointments were also made in the Department of Religious Studies, History, Early Childhoodcare Education, Economics, Educational Technology, Mathematics, Yoruba, English and General Studies. Other areas where the appointments also took place include Department of Hausa, Agricultural Science and Integrated Science.
While Informing and congratulating each of the appointees in a letter signed by Mrs. Olufisayo Fakorede, Deputy Registrar, Pension and Staff Welfare, on behalf of the College Registrar, Mr. Felix Aderinboye, the statementenjoined them to regard their new position as one that “carries with it high responsibility of academic leadership, maturity and competence.
“It is my hope that during this period, the school will benefit tremendously from your qualities and experience in this respect.” the statement remarked.
